Today Sony sent out a press email about the recent surge of LittleBigPlanet merchandise available for purchase from various retailers, little did they know that they could have accidently confirmed the long rumoured PSP-4000.
The advertisement as you'll be able to see below clearly states that the various cases and stickers are compatible with the PSP-4000. It has been rumoured that the PSP-4000 model which was previously stated by analysts as something we would see in the future could be a version of the PSP Go with the added UMD facility which had been removed on the PSP Go model.
To be fair, with all the different models of PSP, 1000, 2000, 3000, Go, it wouldn't be too difficult to make a printing mistake and it would be far more unlikely to be accidently revealed by a peripheral firm dealing in merchandising for LittleBigPlanet. Still, it makes one wonder.
At the moment it would probably be best to take this rumour with a pinch of salt, while we no doubt will see another reiteration of the PSP in one form or another, since the PSP Go hasn't been out that long it'll probably be a while yet before we hear or see anything other than what we already have.
