Dead Space: Extraction, Planet Cracker for XBLA/PSN?

dead_space_extraction_planet_cracker_for_xbla_psnDead Space 2 was announced a while back and confirmed by EA for release in 2011 earlier today, but Dead Space fans might not have to wait that long before they get their hands on more space fairing survival horror action.

According to a survey which was supposedly sent to Kotaku, Dead Space: Extraction seems to be in the planning phases for a "full HD" port over from the Nintendo Wii to both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

Planet Cracker however, seems to be a strategy game based within the Dead Space universe. It's described in the survey as a "resource strategy game where players will manage a CEC Mining operation", it also goes on to say players will "maximize their daily profit" and be "defending their hard-won ore from Space Pirates." The report also mentions that any accomplishments you achieve within the Planet Cracker game will benefit you when you start Dead Space 2 in 2011. Sounding very similar to Fable II's pub games when they were released ahead of the main game itself.

Both games were listed as possible incentives for pre-ordering/purchasing Dead Space 2.

Of course, none of this is confirmed so take it as it comes for the moment. It is however, certainly plausible.
