member_spotlightWhiteHartMart is under the Spotlight this month, we'll see what games he's currently blasting his way through as well as looking at his gaming history and what he enjoys the most. Read on for all the information you could ever need about him!

GamesRelay: So tell us a bit about you as a gamer.

WhiteHartMart: I an arthritic 36 year old father of 2, petrolhead, technology geek etc etc - you get the picture. I'm not sure if I've always been into gaming due to the games or the fascination with the technology to be honest. Either way, I've been gripped since receiving a ZX81 as a Christmas present. Since then, I've been through a Commodore 64, Acorn Electron, Atari ST, Mega Drive, NES, N64, Playstation, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2 and an Xbox before ending up with the current collection of 360, PS3, PSP and DSi.

As for games - shooters and drivers are where it's generally at - simple as that!

Member Spotlight - Genki-Rocket

member_spotlightFor our first Member Spotlight of 2010 we're putting Genki-Rocket in it. He's not been here too long but his thoughts and opinions on anything gaming related come second to none, as proven by the Pixel Shock blog. Read on and see what makes him tick...

GamesRelay: So tell us a bit about you as a gamer.

Genki-Rocket: I'm old. I know this because my first console was a Sega Master System with Alex Kidd and Mickey Mouse in the Castle of Illusion. From there I graduated to the Mega Drive, Mega CD, then PC Engine, NEO GEO, Super NES (but never a NES, oddly) from there it was Saturn, PSone, N64 and Dreamcast… and on too today where I do most of my gaming on the PS3 (but own an Xbox 360). Consoles are probably the reason I still live in a rented flat! I like most genres but prefer games with a fantasy element of super-realistic stuff. Full-on simulations are not my bag either.

Member Spotlight - Heartsbane

member_spotlightThis month we put Heartsbane under our member spotlight and find out what he enjoys about gaming both past and present. We also get his thoughts on what could be the next big thing in gaming, his favourite gaming genre and the funniest thing that ever happened to him.

GamesRelay: So tell us a bit about you as a gamer.

Heartsbane: Well, I've been gaming since I was three, I'm told. It was entirely on the PC for the most part, playing games that I haven't heard mentioned ever again, such as two; Where's Rover? and Humans, Gods, among others. Mid-90's, I found myself playing a lot of adventure games. King's Quest, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, even Phantasmagoria: something I should really have stayed away from when I was five years old!

Member Spotlight - Dazzel

member_spotlightDazzel joins us in our member spotlight this month. He fills us in on his gaming past from the early Sinclair to the now current generation, as well as his likes and dislikes about gaming in general. His favorite super power is Telepathy however so think happy thoughts!

GamesRelay: So tell us a bit about you as a gamer.

Dazzel: I started gaming approximately 27 years ago when I was 13, earliest recollection being the Sinclair ZX81, shortly followed by the 48k Spectrum and C64 spending more hours than I care to remember typing line after line of basic only to have the 50p run out in the electicity meter two lines from the end. I then got my first games console, the Atari VCS2600 woody which I loved, I wasted alot of my youth playing Space Invaders, Combat, Breakout and Yars Revenge.

Member Spotlight - DarkrhythM

member_spotlightWe have DarkrhythM or Matt as he likes to be called in our member spotlight this month. He's been gaming since the Atari so who knows how old he really is and wants to be Jet Set Willy with the ability to freeze time so he can pull his bosses trousers down. His words, not ours!

GamesRelay: So tell us a bit about you as a gamer.

DarkrhythM: Much like most others on GR, I've been gaming since the days of Atari... I spent a bucket load of cash on holiday on the arcade machine in Lanzegrotty, which was usually something like Outrun or Rygar! Since these days, I've always been a follower of the latest console, but I did sidestep the saturn and dreamcast... and have never really gotten into Nintendo... through a period of Speccy, Amiga and various others, I'm proud to be a Sony or PC gamer now, unless a decent exclusive comes out on the 360... I typically like to keep an open mind about game types, but I do like those that bring an atmospheric twist, like Eternal Darkness or Silent Hill - I love survival horror, racing, adventure and action games - key to me is playability and plot.
