Haven't you heard? Free Realms is heading to the PS3 on March 29. Free Realms is Sony Computer Entertainment's free-to-play casual MMO and the first of its kind to ever be offered on the PlayStation Network.
With over 12 million users registered, Free Realms is one of the largest MMO's out there, being free-to-play certainly helps.
Free Realms is basically one large virtual world where players can "hop on the back of your trusty T-Rex and explore the countryside; discovering strange lands, rare collectibles, and exciting quests. Brave the dangers of forgotten dungeons and battle hordes of mythical monsters and bad-tempered beasties."
There's plenty of competitive games to play as well, from kart racing and demolition derby, to soccer and pirate ship battles, all using a simple matchmaking system.
It will be available through the PlayStation network on March 29 for free. Players can upgrade to a subscription based membership which will give unlimited access to all job levels, along with extra content and special features.
It releases on March 29 on the PlayStation 3.
