THQ has just gone and announced the third game in the Saints Row series, it's titled Saints Row: The Third and is scheduled for a late 2011 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Saints Row: The Third sees a group known as the Syndicate wanting tribute and respect from the 3rd Street Saints. Obviously they aren't having any of that and so the two gangs end up at war with each other.
"Saints Row: The Third puts you on top of the world, right at the beginning of the game, with all the perks that go along with being the head of an elite criminal organization," said THQ's executive Vice President, Core Games, Danny Bilson.
"There's no delivering pizza, no shuttling family members about in a long series of taxi missions. Instead, you take all the power of the Third Street Saints and you take the world by storm."
It releases late this year on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
