Electronic Arts has released the first gameplay footage of Battlefield 3 today, along with the pre-order incentives which will include the multiplayer expansion pack, Battlefield 3: Back to Karkland, at no extra charge.
Those who pre-order Battlefield 3 will be able to download the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkland multiplayer expansion pack for free. The pack includes four maps from Battlefield 2 which have been reworked to work with the Frostbite 2 engine's damage physics.
Patrick Bach, Battlefield 3's executive producer, said "we wanted to create the most immersive and emotionally powerful Battlefield game ever and we needed new technology to deliver on our vision."
"Battlefield 3 preserves the franchise's signature sandbox style and even brings back classic fan favorites like jets, going prone and 64-player multiplayer on PC."
Battlefield 3 releases on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall. Check out the gameplay video below.
