Deep Silver have been teasing with an unannounced title recently, today, however, they have revealed that it will be Risen 2: Dark Waters, taking on a "fresh theme and setting on a huge variety of themed island locales."
Dark Waters will take place several years after the events in Risen, where "raging titans have devastated the world and pushed humanity to the brink of existence. Subsequently, monstrous creatures have risen from the watery depths of the sea and their attacks have brought all seafaring to a grinding halt."
Our hero is now part of the Inquisition and is sent out "to stop the chaos caused by these creatures from the deep."
The sequel will be using new technology which should help stop some of the problems that hindered the original game, it is still a third-person RPG, however, and many of the same mechanics from the original will be included in Dark Waters.
Deep Silver haven't dated Risen 2: Dark Waters yet, but it is heading to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Oh, did we mention it includes Pirates? Yar!
