Trion Worlds has just announced the formal release date for their upcoming fantasy MMO, Rift, along with details on the pre-order program and collector's edition. Rift launches on PC at the beginning of March.
Customers who pre-order Rift will get to choose from three in-game pets to accompany them, and be given a head start on those who don't. The head start will begin on February 24 and run up till launch, you'll also be given access to the beta if you're not currently in it.
"The launch of Rift is the culmination of our tireless efforts over the past several years to bring players the most complete, full-featured, and dynamic online game they've ever experienced," said Lars Buttler, CEO of Trion Worlds.
"Through the dedication, creativity, and incredible track record of our veteran development team, we've been able to create an exceptionally polished and immersive online world filled with adventure, surprise, and beauty. We can't wait to share Rift with players around the world."
Rift will also offer a limited-time "Founder’s Pricing" for players, featuring a £5.99/$9.99 per-month price for a multi-month subscription if selected before March 15, as long as it's maintained you'll pay the same price for the life of your subscription.
It launches on March 1 in the US and March 4 in the UK. The digital game will set you back $49.99/€49.99/£34.99, while the Digital Collector’s Edition will be $59.99/€59.99/£39.99.
