CD Projekt RED has announced the release date for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings today. The announcement for its May 2011 release also said more details would be released at the CD Projekt Conference, which takes place later this week.
CD Projekt have said that more details would be released at the conference later this week, covering the launch and the Collector's Edition of The Witcher 2, we'll also get our first look at the pre-order deals.
The conference will be available to stream online come November 18 at 18:30 CET, 09:30 PST, on the game's official Facebook page.
"We've decided to move the launch date back a few weeks to afford us more time to polish the game," aid Adam Badowski, project lead at CD Projekt RED. "Of course, we know that players would like to get the game as soon as possible, so we hope that they will forgive us! We strongly believe that the extra time spent polishing the title will be well worth the wait".
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is scheduled for release on May 17, 2011, on PC.
