telltales_back_to_the_future_game_detailedTelltale Games has released details on their upcoming Back to the Future game, with specifics on platforms, pricing, pre-orders and the release schedule. Check out the full details on Marty and Doc Brown's escapades inside.

Described as a completely new adventure, Back to the Future: The Game will come in "five exciting episodes" releasing once a month. It's set after the events in Back to the Future III, where you may remember that the famous time machine was destroyed by a train, here's the official blurb:

Marty and Doc embark on a completely new cinematic time-travel adventure. The story unfolds across five exciting episodes, with a new installment releasing each month.

The release is scheduled to run just a month after the 25th anniversary edition of the trilogy which goes on sale this week on DVD and Blu-ray.

Telltale confirmed that the game would be heading to the PC and Mac in December with PS3 and iPad versions to follow, though no word on Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii versions yet.

You can pre-order the game on the Telltale website for $24.95, with $1 going to the Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson's research. If you do pre-order you'll also get access to a closed forum in which you'll be able to chat with the developers.

Back to the Future: The Game releases on PC and Mac this December.
