Sony has today sent word to developers that it will stop distributing current PSP development kits this November, pending the release of a new model, which could very well mean the PSP 2.
The cut-off date for new kits is November 15, developers are urged to get their orders in before the expiration hits.
Sony have said the announcement is simply because the certificatation on the current development and test tools will be expiring, however, they would still loan stock out for new and registered developers until the new model becomes available.
PSP 2 rumours abound, Sony have still not confirmed or denied the existence of the PlayStation Portable 2, even though a developer has previously claimed they have a kit in-house.
SCEA, which oversees the American side of the market, has yet to make a similar announcement.
