Professor Layton shows no sign of slowing down given that the Nintendo 3DS is due for launch next year, with the release date now set Level 5 have announced Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle for the new handheld.
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle is the fifth game in the Professor Layton series, but it is the third story chronologically As a prequel to the series it is set after Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute, continuing the story of the search for Jean Descole.
The traditional 2D sprites and art have been replaced with 3D models of the characters in Mask of Miracle and players will now be able to examine areas in the 3D perspective, the first in the series to encompass it.
No date has been given on the title yet, we'll let you know when it is.
