Doctor Who is warping his way back in to a computer near you the BBC confirms today. Due to the success of Doctor Who: The Adventure Games, the BBC has announced plans for a second series.
Sumo Digital will be handling the development once again, with show producer, Steven Moffat, writing the story.
It comes after the success of the first series, which launched last summer and was downloaded 1.6 million times by TV License holders for free.
"Given the success of the first series, we'd be daft not to recomission," says Simon Nelson, head of multi-platform in vision at BBC.
"We've set new standards in audience participation - and we think we've really helped push the concept of families actively playing together. I can't wait to see what the team does next."
The second series will include new members of the Doctor Who cast, with Matt Smith and Karen Gillen staying on board for the voices of The Doctor and Amy Pond.
It's due out later this year, no exact date was given.
