oddworld_strangers_wrath_remake_coming_to_ps3Back in July we reported on some new Oddworld games being developed by Just Add Water, now we can reveal that the developer is bringing Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath to the PlayStation 3 with some fancy new features.

Originally released back in 2005, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath will be the first game on a PlayStation console since Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus which released back in 1998.

Stranger's Wrath will be a HD remake, with 720p high-definition graphics, normal mapping, self shadowing, re-mastered dialogue, PlayStation Move support and extra content.

Just Add Water, the developers behind the game, are the British studio behind the PlayStation Network shooter Gravity Crash.

"Since word got out that we've been working with Oddworld Inhabitants there have been many rumours circulating about what we're working on," said Just Add Water boss Stewart Gilray.

"Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too."

It's due on PlayStation 3 and will be a download only title.
