Apache: Air Assault, the Apache Longbow flight sim, has been given its formal release date on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In development by Gaijin Entertainment it's scheduled for release on November 9.
Gaijin Entertainment may ring a bell among flight fans, they're the developers behind IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey and Apache: Air Assault is the team's first helicopter combat simulator.
It'll feature both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat as players "prevent terrorist attacks by raining down destruction from above in the world's most volatile warzones" across "the jungles of Central America to the mountains of Central Asia".
The 16 multi-stage missions will be local co-op where you and a friend can both take to the skies in the Apache helicopter, one pilot, one gunner. There's also multiplayer modes such as Team Deathmatch, Ground Attack, Capture the Landing Zone and Ground Strike, all of which are online.
It's scheduled for release on November 9 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
