Konami has announced the release date for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and along with it released a batch of new images. It's scheduled for release this October in the US and Europe.
Konami says that the new Castlevania title has "over 50 diverse and beautifully realized 3D stages, over 45 enemies, huge adversaries, and over 40 possible combo attacks that can be added to Gabriel's arsenal."
The game will also receive two additional content packs through the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store sometime after release which will continue the story from the end of the game.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is scheduled for release on October 5 in the US and October 7 in Europe on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
A Limited Edition will also be released at the same time which includes the game, an art book, the soundtrack and some special packaging.
