Sony have just announced at their GamesCom press conference some new PlayStation 3 bundles which include larger hard drives and the PlayStation Move motion controller all in one box.
Sony said during the conference that the new bundles will cater to those users who wish to store more content on their PlayStation 3's. The capacity increase comes thanks to the people who downloaded over 1 billion pieces of content off the PlayStation Network.
Two models will be available, a 160GB model which is already shipping to retailers at the same price as the existing model, and a 320GB model bundled with a PlayStation Eye camera, Sports Champions and a Blu-ray demo disc. The 320GB bundle which is known as the Sports Champions Move bundle will not be available until September 19.
320GB price will be €347/$399.99, 160GB price will be $299.99.
"With the launch of PlayStation Move just around the corner, we're expecting many new consumers to join the PlayStation family," said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of product marketing.
"The PS3 Sports Champions Move bundle provides those families with everything they need to get into motion control gaming at a great value, with the 320GB model PS3 system as the centerpiece of the package."
