dungeons__dragons_online_becomes_free_in_europeDungeons & Dragons, the online MMORPG is already free-to-play over in the US but since Codemasters ran the service in Europe the game still required a monthly subscription, that is, until now.

Turbine will be taking control of all European Dungeons & Dragons Online accounts beginning August 20.

The company will be providing free character transfers to the new servers on day one along with 5000 Turbine points which users can use to buy in-game merchandise, having a £42/€50 value.

Dungeons & Dragons Online is not the only game taking the free-to-play ethos however, Turbine's other MMORPG; Lord of the Rings Online, will also be removing its subscription service later this fall.
