In an announcement we certainly didn't expect, and it seems most others didn't, Interplay and Beamdog have announced MDK2 is coming to WiiWare and a HD version is headed to the PC.
MDK was originally developed by Shiny Entertainment and then the sequel was done by BioWare in 2000 on the PC and Dreamcast platforms. It's this sequel which is heading to Nintendo's WiiWare channel and getting some high-definition loving on the PC.
If you've never heard of MDK2 or played it, then you'll be in for a treat, the game blends a third-person shooter with plenty of comedy with the three main protagonists Kurt, Max, and Doctor Hawkins, each of which you get to play throughout.
No date yet but MDK2 HD on PC will be released through Beamdog's digital distribution system.
