ESPN coming to Xbox Live for Gold subscribers

espn_coming_to_xbox_live_for_gold_subscribersNot at the E3 press conference? Not watching one of the live streams? Well you just missed the latest announcement from the event; ESPN is coming to Xbox Live, that is, if you're an Xbox Live Gold member.

The free ESPN service will include 3500 programs for subscribers of Xbox Live Gold to watch which includes college football, college basketball, NBA, MLA, and Soccer.

Some of the service will be available in HD and more programs are said to be headed to the service further down the line.

The service which was shown during the conference was controlled using the new Kinect motion camera for the Xbox 360, previously know as Natal, and the presenter simply used voice commands to control the on screen playback.

Sounds strictly like a US based service from what was said, but we'll have to wait for more details.
