Could this be the game the Nintendo Wii's fans have been waiting for? We've had Wii Fit, Wii Music, Wii Sports, and a multitude of others, now it's time for Wii Party to take the stage, give it a big hand!
During the Nintendo investors meeting earlier this week Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced Wii Party as an upcoming release title.
"As you know, 'Wii something' are the titles that we use only with software that Nintendo has developed exclusively for Wii with the aim to make them marquee titles for Wii," Iwata said at the meeting."We are developing this game with the aim to make it a marquee party game for Wii."
The Nintendo president went on further to say "We are developing it with the intent that every Wii player will be able to find a game that can be enjoyed. In a game play mode called 'Living Party,' there are unique game play only available with the Wii Remote."
Nintendo haven't sent out an official press release or an expected release date other than the end of the fiscal year 2011 as of yet. Sounds like this could be an E3 shower for Nintendo then. Better get those party hats out.
