Don't worry folks, we're talking about the original Xbox Live from the first Xbox, not the 360. Major Nelson has confirmed that the Xbox Live services will cease to operate on an original Xbox come April 15.
The Xbox Live servers used for any first party titles such as Halo 2 are also to be shut down so that focus can be maintained on the 360 and not its predecessor.
"We did not make this decision lightly, but after careful consideration and review we realize that this decision will allow us unprecedented flexibility for future features," said Major Nelson.
