Ubisoft have confirmed via Twitter that the PC version of the upcoming Assassin's Creed II has been pushed into Q1 2010. The console versions are not effected however.
The only reason given for the delay was; "A bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you." Ubisoft said.
We'll keep you updated on the release date as soon as we hear it.
